My bike's choke decided to stop working a few weeks ago, I guessed it was a blocked air filter or something. But I'd only just got around to having a look.

I took the tank off, and found this surprise !

It seems rather than pay the £13 for a new air filter, the previous owner has cut the old air filter element out, and siliconed in a mesh off another bike/car. Why do people spend over a grand on a bike and then bodge things up over a couple of quid ! Argh

Anyway, when I removed the filter I was greeted with this ...

Not a very happy site, Albeit hopefully nothing serious. I've had a quick read on the Varadero forum and it seems they all suffer with problems of water collecting in the 'Moisture Trap' and gunking up, due to the drain hose being too short and blocking up apparently. I've cleaned it out, and fitted a new longer drain hose, along with a bung in the end so I can drain the fluid that builds up easily.
