600cc touring ish wanted.

A friend of mine is looking for a 600cc bike that would be suitable for touring. He has a budget of £1000

It's a long shot but but if anyone has anything or knows anyone who has, can you let me know please?

I know someone who has a VFR800 (pre vtec) that's been parked up for a year or two - it'd need a service and isn't perfect but was used as a daily commuter before they got a car

He has a baby on the way so is considering getting rid... Do you want me to ask or is an 800 too big?

If you can get one of these at this mileage and price, you'll be getting a great tourer, and they can hustle along too.

Paying a little over a sportstourer, but the economy and insurance savings will soon claw that back.
Very under estimated bike.

See more and more police forces using them. Quick enough, can carry lots of gubbins, good suspension.
