was nattering to beechy the other day and it got briefly mentioned about grabbing a ferry down to spain and riding back, he was the one who said about prostitutes by the way, not me!! doesn't even have to be spain, can go hull or dover and just do a big loop into europe. don't really plan on camping though as i only want to take a small bag with fresh grundies and socks etc...travel light i reckon it could be a good laugh so thought i'd see who might be up for it, few things to sort out first though. no real time scale, if you want to go early wave goodbye and off you go. no pissing round booking every night's accommodation in advance. no route planning, get up in the morning and take it from there, no problem with picking places to go through though. some fantastic roads in the massif central in france and the volcanic national park is stunning!! if anyone is interested grunt...
Grunt, especially if we carry on to do the route Napolean to Provence, loads of cheap campsites, the prostitutes are expensive though or so I'm told.
oh yes, done this many times and love it. ferry to santander and take a week to ride home via northern spain, south of france, italy, Austria and germany. fuck camping and carrying all that shite, cheap hotels and twisty roads. mid to late may is still cheap on the boat, roads are quiet and snow has thawed and passes are often clear.
fuck knows?? suppose spring time or autumn? just avoid baking in the summer...although a week or two of hot dry weather does sound good
just had a thought...we could aim for places with silly names?? brest, condom, nancy, dole, worms, raped and left for dead in a ditch etc... not sure where the last one is, just remember seeing it in a newspaper a while ago??
Hmmmmmm, Im up for no camping...... Nice hotel/B&B with a good bar and some nice weather. Just a couple of days but would be nice to have no plan and draw a strange line onto a map
