Barely used used her over the last 12 months so I think she needs to go to a new home :bawl: I think when you realise that the most action your bike is getting is when you roll her out of the house to clean the dust off her then you know it's time to let her go to a new owner...

    2000 X plate J1 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
    30,000 miles.
Lots of history (service book from prior to when I bought her in 2009 with just 7,000 miles on her and then I have always self-serviced her so have a bundle of receipts for this).
    Tax and MOT until April.
    DataTagged.
Nearly new Bridgestone Battlax BT023 rear tyre (only had a couple of hundred miles on it since fitting - £135 of rubber!).
    Gold DID chain.
    Oxford heated grips.
    New battery earlier this year.
Double bubble tinted screen (original screen is included for the asking price).
Stubby'd Carbon Can Co exhaust (crackles very nicely on the overrun over 5k :p but not tinny or raspy) (original exhaust is included for the asking price).
    Carbon-wrapped intake covers.
She's also got the elusive T-piece infill section that goes between the rear lights
She's lived in my hallway since I bought her in 2009 so has had the benefit of living in a dry, centrally-heated home

This was the last shaped Ninja that offered the comfier sports-tourer riding position. She's comfortable for long journeys, having the deep foam seat and has the looks, performance and handling of a full-on sports bike. Never let me down and still turns heads, even at 13 years old!! :D

As with nearly all Kawasakis from this time, there's a little paint flake on the wheels and the pillion pegs. Never bothered me much though but if you're reeeeally picky then a paint/powdercoat job would only set you back £30-40 or so.

£1,600ovno - located in Horwich (near the Bolton Wanderers Reebok stadium and close to Rivington, for anyone geographically unaware of the sophisticated social delight that is Horwich). I've tried to price her realistically based on the prices for equivalent J1 models on AutoTrader (the cheapest J1 I can find anywhere in the UK is a 31,000 miler and is up at £1,744). Yup it has positively cavernous storage under the pillion seat - quite happily takes a tray of jumbo sausage, chips, curry sauce and a can of Coke :p

Can't guarantee it still being around mate - have had 5 people messaging/texting me about it already lol.
Few questions that have been asked via PM that reminded me I'd forgotten some bits:
    * Had a new battery in April this year.
    * Had fork oil and dust seals replaced April 2012 and the fork oil changed (that was a lovely job).
    * I replaced the upper and lower headstock bearings with race spec items in April 2012 too, so they'll probably outlast the bike now lol.
    * The generator cover on the left hand side looks like it is scuffed/damaged - it's not. It's just the light.

I think that's it but there's probably other questions/info so I'll add anything else people want to know. I've also been asked for a few more photos so I'll take those ASAP and get them up.

    Thanks for looking :)

Oh yes I knew there was another question or two I'd missed!

    * She has standard gearing and I replaced the rear sprocket in 2011.
    * She's also got sintered brake pads fitted front and rear.
    * The Oxford heated grips both work brilliantly and the controller has a battery voltage check system so if you leave them on and forget them as soon as the controller sees the battery voltage start to drop (which is what would happen if the grips were still on and drawing power from the battery whilst the engine's off) it turns itself off. If you try to turn them on and it detects a less-than healthy battery voltage it won't allow you to turn the grips on in case the battery isn't charging properly - they don't want to drain a poorly battery which might leave you stranded somewhere unable to start the bike after having turned it off. Great bit of kit :)

Thanks for the PMs - more photos, as requested.

Clocks - not cracked/broken and showing exact mileage 30,383 miles:

Underseat storage beneath pillion seat - cavernous! As you can see, there's 4 DVDs in there and still got a load of room left spare:

Full original factory toolkit (you can also have the Haynes manual as a freebie too :) ):

Generator cover - silver appearance on original photos was just light reflecting. As you can see, it's not been scraped along the ground:

Same goes for the clutch cover:

Please feel free to ask for any more info/pics you might want :)

Looks like it might still be available after Chrimbo. Have got a chap wanting to come up from London for it but he can't make it until 30th/31st, so first come first served :)

yes....im with Lee, looks a superb Bargain , not the usual crap being sold over the winter...this would make an excellent first big bike before stepping up to the litres, or even a second bike for the litre owner who doesnt want to use his pride in the winter.. superb looking machine

Furious just re-sold my Gixxer in similar cond for a reasonable price - went on eBay. Give it a try if you haven't already Jim?

Ebay's ok but they don't half bum you on charges and fees, hence I just decided to advertise it normally for the mo. If it doesn't sell just yet I'll just keep hold of it and when April comes round bang it up on AutoTrader or ebay for £1,800.

I was referring to auction rather than private listing. Never thought private listings had anywhere as much success as auction listings, and my experience of auctions has always been 10% Ebay fee. Haven't ever sold a car/bike on ebay though so appreciate the fees might be different...?

Sold mine last year via eBay Jim, non auction though classified ad with best offer, didn't take long to shift tbh.
Iirc eBay was cheaper than the autotrader?
Autotrader only gave me one e mail from a Nigerian dude who wanted to pay for my bike with a rubber cheque!
A lot of bang for the buck there mate, really surprised it hasn't sold yet, belting bike :)
