Whilst the pickup cover is off im thinking the tensioner and chain need changing could someone @bloke clarify if its nearly at max tension Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
If your changing the tensioner get a manual one. The automatic ones are a common problem on the honda. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=251483251927&alt=web And make sure you buy a new gasket.
How many miles has it done? Id very much doubt it needs doing. They usually last the lifetime of the engine.
Deffo not then. Mines on 45k miles and still mint. These engines only need oil change each year to run forever.
You'll soon know if its Duff, it will rattle. If it aint broke dont fix it, Presume you have a Workshop Manual! Changed mine at 22k on my 1995 F3.
