12v Power Socket

    Hiya. Iam interested in putting a power socket on my bike so i can use my sat nav etc. But if i do does it drain the battery? Is there any downsides and are they safe. I dont want harm bike buy fitting one.

    Nope unless you leave something plugged in for too long like a laptop I have a 12v socket outlet but I wired it to ignition so it only turns on when key is in on position

    Optimate do one that connects on to your charging point.

    dead easy to fit and work great …you can get some that take a USB adapter ,,,so phones can be charged of that, It won't flatten the battery if the battery is in good nick and as long as you dont leave something charging while the bike engine is not running ….Indi has just had one fitted ..she loves it

    Brill the one ive bought has a usb for phone to charge. Only got it so then if a do get lost on ride outs i can use the sat nav to get home. Ordered some indicaters to so will prob send it in somewhere to have both fitted. Cheers for the replys
