These any help Tom .. The hole on the right should have an oval rubber grommit in but it was flimsy and perished and I couldn't get replacements, so had to work around the problem. ( see last pic ) Again the grommit is missing from the left hand hole,(it should look like the one in the center but wasn't as robust), this would have held the the screw that goes into the seat firmly and stop it moving around. Packed a cardboard wedge in to stop the metal plate moving and hold it in place so as the screw could get purchase, on both sides. Had to put some rubber grommets on the screw shafts, when screwed in tight everything is held ridged and firm. No seat movement.
I used no nails or similar to hold the nuts in place on mine, they had a tendency to fall out and drop under the battery when you pushed the screw in to fit it back on. Never had a problem with it being loose when fitted though.
bloody hell top lads thanks a bunch mega help this really is thought i was goin mad when the guy at the honda dealer said id put the screws in wrong way round ended up debating the mircrofiche haha gonna bang some grommets on it tomoz see what Ive got in the garage haha the joys of honda ownership
