Hmm that sounds like you don't believe it... If by "max out" you mean pinning the throttle against the stops until it won't go any faster then that's exactly what it means.. over 186mph with revs still rising .. let me know if you want the picture!;)

last year the mountain road was shut every 5 minutes due to crashes, so much so that we didn't bother going up there. Im hoping to get a look at it this year tho. Most probably this will mean getting up at daft o'clock to avoid all the knobheads trying to max out !

I was there for 2 weeks last year, couple of closures on the mountain but generally good. Some seriously poor weather on one particular day when mist/fog rain reduced visibility to erm well my chin guard!! Thats when the " knobheads" were out actually going at it in appealing conditions!
I stayed with a couple and the woman worked in A&E so I used to get all the gossip on who was in and how they were doing blah blah...interestingly she said the locals were the biggest offenders for crashing...

Will be there again this year 01 June to 13 June....can't get enough of the place. Love it, great place to ride when the weather is kind, goes without saying very bike friendly locals and of course the racing!!!

If you see/hear a very noisy Ducati Hypermotard Sp ..thats me, think it was the only one on the island last year...and by noisy I mean noisy !! Say hello

Best pay my balance on my ferry bookings before I forget :)

Ant was talking about the start of the mountain to the Creg. If he can ride all that section Maxed out on a Thou, he should consider racing - that's what I said. I have seen plenty of peeps flat out on the Mountain Mile, but the corners are something else.
