well its finaly complete...thanks to carl......it must have done some good as the clutch is slipping worse than before so im guessing its getting more grunt through it............must have looked insane comming home hard on the accelerator.........hard off it trying to decide what i liked the sound of best...........the shortened can or the sound of the air being sucked through the k&n,needles to say carl is now re employed to order my clutch conversion and fit it ....cant wait. AGAIN THANKS CARL
Nice one Moz,looking forward to hearing the beast, the clutch slip is common after the mods have been done, some just fit an additional spring but the Barnet route is best
funny you should mention that,my delima is weather i should get rid of the bling and powder coat it all it;s be coming a bit tedious lately keeping on top of it all with work commitments etc
was thinking silver engine casings black barrels rear foot hangers and black, then i had a brain fart and thought why not paint the wheels and frame in white
well finally finished fucking around with the xjr..........for now... the barnett clutch conversion arrived the other day and Carl fitted it today and we took it to auto sport north for the dyno run.............might i add sitting on you bike why it maxes the revs and not going anywhere is a strange feeling............and also a little exciting.......its a propper buz any way standared the xj was somewhere around 90bhp at the wheel................today it dyno'd at 125 bhp at the wheel and a max of 87.5 ft-lbs of torque which im very happy with.carls got a video of the dyno run and love the flames out the exhaust on the over run. riding it home down the lancs without a slipping clutch was good fun............fooking thing pulls like a freight train :x once again big thanks to Carl..................... TOP BLOKE THAT BLOKE
Looking forward too seeing this at the Harrogate show dave , I'm sure you will win the tractor pulling class on the big blue beast
sounds awesome mate carls a fookin legend glad your a happy chappy u might be able to keep up wiv benny now lol
i was the same with mine, all the polishing does get a bit tedious,i went down the powder coat route, simplyfies everything, and if you get the right colour combination it can look the dogs bollox,
