well its started, go's over to Carls yesterday to start with the mods............fuckin disaster.......when we got it stripped the friggin throttle cable was hanging on by a thread and couldnt get one until today (hopefully) anyway it wernt worth getting it back together until they arrive, so carls gonna sort it for me as im stuck in work from now till next saturday so this now gives me the chance to get the exhaust chopped and a link pipe made (all thanks to carl) hopefully it will become one loud oxygen/fuel sucking bastadrd with a noise that would wake the dead AGAIN BIG THANKS TO BLOKE
Im having one made that allows the exhaust to sit closer to the rear shock, and having the can shortened, im having a stage 3 jet kit, set of pods, 4degree advancer and 36y inlet rubbers. Although carl was telling me they do a bore thing that takes em to 1500 cc and almost doubles the torque :blink: i may look into this ha ha ha
One of the previous owners on the owners club had his bored out to 1340 but suffered with blown head gaskets and cracked barrels,it was done at Big CC http://www.bigccracing.com/ I have heard of a 1500 and even 2.0 being done with the XJR lump,now that would be something
it only split the barrels and blew the head cos it had a massive turbo,and probably makin about 500 bhp.....dont f*ck about with carb mods cam,s or rebores..put a turbo on it and cum in ur leathers every time you open the throttle..the xjr is p*ss easy to do a turbo convertion and will make about 250 at the wheel on 5 psi boost......you know you want one.....lol...lol

you could get it done professionally for about 3.5 grand..with some good advice and some late nights in the garage you could do it urself for about 2 grand , depends wether its carbs or injection..carbs are cheaper but inj is easier to tune..read forced induction by graham bell..dead interestin if ur into that type of thing. building the turbo system is the easy bit..understanding how all the components work together is the real challeng
