PD's Diner - Aberystwyth Promenade http://www.aberystwyth.org.uk/foodanddrink/pd-diner.shtml Note: there is designated bike parking in bike season, (on the promenade between the bollards) just past pd's diner - use it please or you will be asked to move your bike! it gets very busy in summer but is a nice stop for a brew / butty / ice cream, right on the sea front
the following links are not just awesome places to ride - its something to do when you get there, rather than just go for a brew and come home. I strongly urge you to go to these places - make a day of it Devil's Bridge (ceredigion) - the proper devils bridge lol!!! http://www.a2bwales.com/devils-bridge-falls/ if you havent been here you need to make the effort as the scenery & roads are fantastic. there are 2 cafes and a pub, popular with bikers - make sure you bring a few £1 coins and make time to walk the waterfalls - they're amazing, absolutely breathtaking. an easy stop-off from the a44 if you are in the aberystwyth / crossgates area

Sometimes of a bank holiday weekend the caving club set up a chair to lower you into gaping ghyll for a few pound, it's about 350ft into total darkness, that'd be a laugh.
