After a first corner smash during the Citroen 2CV championship the race was delayed for a good while and the land and air ambulance where called. I don't know the status of the driver involved. We know people have used these guys and we one day may need them. Give what you can as its a charity and can use the help.
Was this today Rob ? I've never seen the Helicopter land on the track before , its always landed by the medical centre, So obviously the track medics did not want to move the driver . Hope he is ok My IAM group observers collect a £5 fuel allowance when the ride with an Associate , most Obs put the money back into a charity fund and we have actually just collected about £800 which was sent to the NWAA and 2 other charities
The driver was keeped in the car till the air ambulance came. The land crew where there for ages... I think the driver was female. Hope she is ok.
They've got two yellow (G-NWAA & G-NWEM) and one red (G-NWAE) all three leased from Bond Air Services.
I've only seen it once before. Three ambulances, two Air Ambulances and four police on track. That was a fatality involving 5 bikes though, October 2013.
