This was the issue sadly, the bike was NOT amiss, the speedo was correct (as i insisted it was) and was told it wasnt as his speedo is more accurate ect, so i stuck to the 25 mark on 20 zones (which if the information was cprrect would have meabt i was doing 20) and it turns out the speedo was fine and i was just speeding everywhere, it'd almost be funny if i didnt have to pay out another £200.

 

I take it they want another £200 for your MOD2 & instructors fees for that?
I got what you were saying about the speedo being ok... My point..... Which perhaps I didn't get across, was that They thought there was something wrong with the speedo.. Hence the advice you were given... Hence they should sort your mod 2 at their expense

 

The instructor who told you it was wrong is completely at fault here. As is the company for either having a bike with a speedo 5mph out or employing an instructor who could get it so wrong. Has he accepted that he is at fault for telling you your speedo was out or has he denied it? I would go to the head honcho and tell them you want a refund / free 2nd test ( bike/instruction fees with a different instructor) or you will be going elsewhere and telling everyone about the poor instruction and advice you have received.

 

The beauty of it is that it was the head honcho that took me there....then had the cheek after the test debrief to tellme i wont be failed for going too fast, but i will be for going to slowly!

 

Id name and shame and go elsewhere asap. Not put a penny more into their pockets

 

I plan to do soon as my test i over, dont fancy anything else happening yet. The main instructor is brilliant though, cant sing his praises enough, the owner seems to not know how the bikes work and is full of shit though sadly.

Totally agree with this.

 

Just shows us we stump up £600+ and don't know what we are getting! Its all a bit Russian roulette.....
