Ok i think i know who the winner will be here (Karl) - but those of us fortunate enough to have a garage, shed or what ever resembles a man cave or sanctuary - lets see your pics then for inspiration i have nearly finished mine, been over 2 months since i moved in, the roof space was open and draughty so was boarded out for storage and then closed off with PVC cladding, the walls were bare and they took 5 tins of sandtex to cover the floor was rough and dusty so cheap floor paint was not an option. epoxy floor paint may cost but it sure lasts the doors were about as secure as a tent, so new electric roller shutters sorted that of course then all the lighting, power and of course water for the plumbed in and fitted jet wash. Cost a bit more than i budgeted thanks to the original shite garage doors. Should offer enough room for what i am working on.
Jealous Only have a back garden and always get rained on  Garages needs heating, then they'll be perfect. (Because I'm always cold) :hungover:
No garage should be that tidy. It should look like a game of tetris using motorbikes, pushbikes, toys, a weights bench, tons of diy shit you never use, spare tyres etc etc. And it should look like you are shit at tetris......
Looks ace mate, cant wait to have my own garage again (albeit temporarily ) im a bit surprised that bike no.2 (hiding behind the cbr) doesn't have its own pedestal to perch on
mine's kind of evolving into a business now so it doesn't really count although i do get to road test some fun cars now though
Look away Lee - today i have been as happy as a pig in shit. The poor RC has been neglected since summer. Ridden quite a bit but rarely cleaned after use and just ends up getting dumped before being dragged out again for another thrashing while i imagine myself as Joey while bouncing it off the limiter and enjoying the V4 drone. All this comes at a cost and it was well over due a service. So today it got a new oil and filter, sump removed and cleaned and inspected, new chain and sprockets. Caliper clean up, new pads, bled the brakes. changed the coolant, carb clean out, new air filter and plugs and of course a good clean in all the nooks and crannies. I noticed some chipping to the lower fairing and belly pan - hey ho but that's expected. I dabbed a bit of paint on the side stand after trying to reduce weight at RAF valley trackday last year and shaving it off on a few left handers. All of this in the comfort of my new garage that's clean and organised so my OCD is not distracting me. Ready to put back together and enjoy thrashing the shit out of it living the dream for another year.
I'm interested in the epoxy floor paint for my garage ,could you tell me where you got it from cheers chris
Indeed Chris Purchased from here http://www.ukindustrialflooring.co.uk/ to do a double garage with 2 proper coats will cost you around 600 quid if you do it yourself. cheap floor paint is shite and peels like normal paint to the average garage floor. this stuff once mixed is like painting with marmite texture wise and once set is like a tough plastic. even bashing paddock and side stands into this has little effect.
Currently share a garage so I only have a little corner of it. Can't wait to get my own, full 2 car garage just for bikes. One day!!
