Reeeet, I mentioned the other day I was looking at a EXC250 motor. Well we bought it, soon to have a lot of tuning, porting, port timing, ignition mods, different reeds, pipe etc everything pretty much will be new and modded. Made the first step today and ordered a new Keihin PWK 41mm flat slide carb for it going to fit v force reeds and have a custom straight adaptor made. Need about 60hp so it's going to have some serious work!!!

I've got a keihin flat slide but it was nowhere near big enough, that's the 36mm in the classifieds on here that the motor came with. What size is the carb you have?
Monster carb is here Need a set of vforce reeds and I'm going to CAD a new carb manifold to have machined .. And yes my bedroom is a mess, doesn't everyone have chevy small block parts on their bedroom floor!?
Haha, nope i usually sleep in my bedroom and work on projects in the garage do you need a go kart chassis ?? Ive got one here thats getting in the way with all the bits to make it rolling chassis, you can have it for a steal !!
Nope got an F1 chassis. What chassis have you got? It all has to be pukka stuff. I will be racing it, all regulations etc and everything has to be homologated.
hi mate, sorry taken ages not been on the forum for a while due to a bit of hard graft and motorbike related injury recovery :doh: the chassis is ..... (one sec need to nip to garage) .... 'Stratos' ... uk made, proper job. rear axle with key way for wheels and drive. got wheels and tyres here, seat, brakes, steering wheel ... the works. its one of them where you can set the length and angle of loadsa stuff, tweak it how you want it i bought it from a friend a few years ago with the intention of making it into a bike engined kart but got as far as stripping it then other things got in the way and its been sat in my garage since. Can have it for a song if you want, i was super close to angle grinding it and weighing it in tbh.
yeh np mate! its gonna break my heart angle grinding it n chucking it on the tip though ! nice bit of engineering !
