    I know someone who may have a tank if you still want it?

    He has 3 of these in mint condition, Im sure I have seen a knackered tank on the wall in his w/shop....

    started making the rear seat unit :) wahey, chopping up another CD tank to match the lines of the front but with 2" of height taken out. Will also be hinged and the electrics and battery hidden beneath it and the original flange to secure the tank to tank rubber will now be my number plate mount :)

    It's been far too long since I had a spare day to get some time on her and what with the other bikes and uni and all, but hey ho- quick update.

    Started to do some custom engine casing engraving- photos to follow when it's done, I was going to wrinkle coat like the RVF engine cases but it'll look pretty trick with them engraved with Japanese art on one side and the rising sun on the tuther.

    Also started on the seat unit using an old tank, it's wasn't as it looked when I was spotted taking an angle grinder to a petrol tank haha.

    Sooooo, started to teach myself how to engrave for the fancy Jap style engine casing designs- just to be different. Not Alf bad if I do say so myself (bear in mind this was a 'I'm going in the garage for some chicken moment, 30mins later 'look what I've done' :) to an unimpressed lazy Twunt of a misses)

    Anywho, thoughts please;

    It got a little difficult as I'm using a extension hose for a
    Dremel tool and you just can't tighten the tio on the other end enough- as soon as you take it off the surface the bit starts to work its way out again :/
    I'll invest in the correct tool, maybe a smaller pen size dremel (if they exist) for more control.

    Will look like this in the end;

    Don't take this to heart but that's kinda poo

    I think your wrinkle coat is better :p

    Problem with engraving is its either really well done or really bad, to me that looks like someone has had a go with a pen knife :p
