Zx6r g2. 1999. Where the chuff are the spark plugs located. And how many is there. Bits not running at mo. So its another thing on the list i need to check.
Honestly ??? well its an In Line Four …( theres a clue in that ) they will be situated on just above the exhaust manifolds . they will have long rubber type caps on which maybe hiding them, be careful not to over tighten the new ones when you pop them in. hope that helps
try google the Haynes Manual or workshop book to help you along the way .. on some bikes you have to remove the air box but on others you dont .not sure on your model
We're the manifold joins the cylinder head the plugs are just above on top of heads can usually get to them without removing much
there ya go ………its a large PDF file so let it load up http://support.bazzaz.net/service_manuals/ZX600G2.pdf
my thoughts exactly lol, i suppose though its easier to learn everything about bikes when you love them before you are old enough to own one, i read 1000s of books magazines ect whilst dreaming of my 1st bike others it seems get the bike 1st then gradually learn:thumbsup:
I am a complete amateur at this. But its my bike. I love it. Aint got the cash to keep sending it into the garage when a little problem occurs. So need to start getting my hands dirty n trouble shooting myself. And with the help and advise from other. Thanks again guys much appericiated.
Thats the way forward mate. I'm just like you when it comes to bikes and getting your hands dirty is all part of the experance.
You need to take seat off, tank off, airbox off. You might need the socket out of the toolkit to get the plugs out coz its a bit narrow.
Get ur self a Haynes it tells u everything u need to no about DIY and how to do it all properly. If I was u I would use one of those flexible joints on the spark plug socket coz the 1st and 4th plug can be hard to get out coz there so near the frame
also when you put the new plugs in tighten them finger tight then only a quarter turn more with the spanner, you dont want to strip the threads in the cylinder head!!!
