I think Jazzi might already be aware? See who like Fronkeys entry, (2nd down?) :)

    EDIT: Opps too late, :)

Realised I was never going to fit onto a Tenere (can't reach the ground...not even close!), then had a epiphany when I realised the GS has a range of enduro tyres :)

    haha, same as me pal..

Popped to BMW the other day to see the F800gs, that'a tall too... and almost 10K... tyres... £150, Cadge £meh, The fun of trying to ride a z1000 up a hill with mates! PRICELESS!!!

    Yep, I couldn't believe the F800GS was £10k... With the R1200GS costing between £12 to £14k!
I can't justify spending a huge amount of cash on a new bike...just yet.
My bike was cheap and is paid for, so only one thing for it:

You pick a 17" tyre, you'll need to drop to a 16" and a deeper profile. Wider bars, longer cables, hoses and wiring. Larger front wheel. New springs and rear suspension linkage.

Give it up and get a late model transalp.

I'm pretty open minded about taking on projects and am well know for making stupid decisions but I do rekon this is a bad one- if you are to use it off road anywho. Your bike has a certain pedigree and value, unless you can afford a new bike outright/finance next year then I'd not bother as it'd ruin the value of yours.

And all that power on nobbly tyres...... Could always go dig drainage ditches for the council as a side line I suppose.

I would however like to see a 1000cc super sports off road bike but I wouldn't like to see you hit a tree or take off on a jump and pass a plane haha
