As discussed a couple of days ago, we will be converting NWB to be powered by a different software developer. The software we are converting to is called Xenforo.

Anyone who has an interest in forum software will have heard of these guys by now. Though relatively new and in their infant years, they have a well compiled team led by an industry-leading developer. They are quickly evolving and are hitting the others where it hurts.

Tapatalk use Xenforo for their support forums so, I suppose you could say, they're a bit biased when it comes to prioritising updates and fixing bugs :)

After a couple of days testing, we are ready to invite forum members to put a little more load on the software. Please, if you can spare some free time, sign in to our development site by clicking the link at the bottom of this post. Create posts, topics, go to your profile, change your avatars etc, as many things as you can! Doing this will also give you a chance to get familiar with the new layout / software.

The move will be taking place shortly, so please take advantage. We are now committed and invested so there's no backing out.

    Thanks,

    Paul

Will the threads put on the developmental software be transferred onto the main site?

Hi Rob, any topics currently added to the development installation will not be kept. If you're making a legitimate posts on there, please make them on this site as they will get transferred over.

Definitely not as mods/admin have been farting around merrily in there, merging, deleting, warning/banning and generally dicking about to our hearts content (all in the interest of testing it, of course :p )
