Some of you might know I went round europe on the SV last year. I've been a lazy bugger and only just bothered putting a video together from my helmet camera footage. But anyway have a looksee
FANTASTIC…i love the roads you were on …did you go alone ? can you upload a map of your route (if you get time) looks like a great journey…you went the Alps and the Pyrennes ? I've ridden the Bernina pass from St Moritz this links to the Stelvio just below Bormio. Took this Picture there in Pano ,to show the Mts . View attachment 906 great you had a top time .The vid is razor sharp in detail ..Cant wait for this year now to get out there again
Well I can't remember the exact route & mileage off the top of my head as I didn't really plan it, just booked the boat there and a boat back and so long as I made it between those two points within the dates booked went where I fancied. But roughly in the 2500 mile region and a rough map from memory, going clockwise the Wirral, to Hull and onwards.
Brilliant photo that, great composition. and yes I went alone most of my mates in uni without bikes at the time. losers
amazing route that , if thats your first euro trip ….you are scarred for life !! been the alps and the Pyrennes a few times and we talk of combining the two like you did, just hate that bilbao/santander crossing. yep your uni mates defo missed out , bet there were some jealous peeps about when you showed em the pics/vids…fantastic trip
Yeah its all about trips man, I have done romania/serbia etc on my own too, its amazing - you'll want to go further and further for longer and longer every time. I work in Ellesmere Port; and have ridden from Geneva to here in one go.. I wouldn't advise it
I envy you :grumpy: Just picked up an Sv myself and plan to get a euro trip in this year, some of those views are fantastic!
Yearning to get away this year myself, but not found a group going with the right dynamics and focus. May end up taking off on my own yet or meeting Mrs C somewhere she can fly to.
Can see it now. "No no I said fly to the algarve not the Arctic, I wonder who switched your tickets...anyway you're stuck till the next flight out in 6 weeks so see you then love"
That's blooming heck thats a long way in a day, Yehh I fancy getting away again this year but I've moved out of my parents a few months ago, and on a 21 year old's wage getting used to real life sized bills the bank balance says I might get to ride to J&S a few times  Absolutely! first time I've been abroad on a bike so thought I'd best do it properly and all that
I dipped a toe in the water first time. Just a hop down to Paris from Kent. Second time, the following year, 3 weeks, got down to Amalifi and the isle of Capri. Anyone remember Italian tourist petrol coupons?
