Can anyone help. Came across ones that say 'carbon ceramic' and ones that say 'sintered'. What's the difference and what's best  Sorry for my shit question :bag:

    This might help:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/Which-Bra...Sintered-or-Ceramic-/10000000020322378/g.html

Personally I always used SBS or EBC.

On my YZF-R125 I used these:

    Rear http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EBC-FA377...pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item565bd01121

    Front http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-EBC-F...pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item2c9715857d

Don't buy cheap brake pads!!! The previous owner of mine bought some 'Kyoto' or something - the rear pad snapped whilst I was going around a round about. Not fun :)

General statement: Like many things, do you really want to rely on something that's developed and made to cut costs ie dead cheap when you put your life in its "hands". Brakes ... Defo go for a bit of quality.

    I'd go for sintered too

I tend to cut mine from balsa wood bought at the local hobby store.
Saves loads of weight and plenty pennies ;)

PS The above is tongue in cheek, use 'wooden brakes' at your own peril :D

Worth noting I think is that a lot of the time the best pads you can get are original equipment for a standard brake set up (Honda are a good example) - EBC seem good but aren't always the best.

If your bike has its own forum try and look on there for recommendations. Some brands of sintered pad can be a bit harsh and can wear out your discs so go for a good recommendation.

On standard calipers and disks you can go cheap with SBS / EBC or pay in the middle and get originals - Brembo also offer good all round performing pads...

I opt for organic or non sintered. The disc last longer.
