Cabernet has probably heard of Exoldracergit's prowess around Three Susters Race Circuit and fancies his chances against the master...cheeky Canernet wants to borrow the Ducati in his attempt to assualt the Three Sisters and overthrow our NWB king of short circuit racing Exoldracergit
Ha ha, I sincerely doubt I'd have a chance of achieving that. I am not actually that quick a rider, certainly not a cornering god. I just manage to get what I can do averagely, to hang together smoothly.
I will second that Richie, the hyper is an absolute hoot, I have the SP and it has huge grin factor.... Also have a1098s but am tracking that as it makes no real sense on the road...well I think I am at risk of losing a. Licence or b. my life.......just can't take it easy on her at all so track is the way forward for her
Not sure Dave, always wanted one, Then had biggy (didnt see u out of side road 6 months of work) that funded it in 2001. cost then £5k. Thought being so Iconic would appreciate, (thats what i thought and told the Missus, Ha) £4500 seems near. Its never been abused, warmed up properly, serviced properly by me (dont trust anyone else,Ha.) Probably stick up on ducati forum and autothingy . Still love it so will rebuild KR1S and one will have to go so i can go green laning in the Winter. Got my Luvely old faithfull Steelie for trackwork.
Hey Paul u not been out with Cab on a Ride out (Caernarfon withstanding) , Cab average my Arse, Quick IAM's standard at the very least. could teach a lot of young(and born again riders) the safe way of riding quick (legal) on the road. lookin forward to meetin up at 3 sis and rideouts this year.
You flatter me beyond my deserve Sir. When you ride with me on the track you'll realize how lame I really am.
Yes we rode back from Caenarfon together, I couldn't keep up as I was on a push bike (well that's my excuse) ha ha ha I'm from the school of hard knocks, everything I've learnt about riding bikes has been the hard way (many foolish invincible youthful years and many crashes). Then again some say I ride like I've been schooled by The Institue of TWAT (TIT) riders
Ebay classified ad (NOT an auction!). Definitely the best route IMHO. Sold both my Ninja and my Mille that way with no fuss. Give her a good clean and polish, choose a good location to take some photos and take your time framing and positioning the photos so the light falls right, sun glints off the paintwork etc. and loads of info regarding your ownership, mods, condition and ownership. I pissed about trying to sell the Ninja via ebay auction, gumtree, swapz etc. and just got my chain yanked repeatedly by timewasters and dreamers (one guy contacted me via gumtree and said he wanted to view it but he was in London, so would I send him the £50 fuel cost to come up and see it!!!). When I put it on ebay classified I bumped the price by £100 and added "ono" and within less than a week it was gone. When I put the Mille on ebay classified it took something ridiculous like less than 24 hours to have a sale agreed IIRC.
Jim is bang on there. - whatever you do, don't use the MCN classifieds which are absolutely useless. - the beauty of the EBay classifieds is that you amend the ad as it runs and tinker with the price / details .... As soon as I put my last bike on there I started getting enquiries...MCN and 8 weeks ... Sweet FA!
Thanks for the advice guys. Think probably hold fire (got a lot on) Rebuild KR1S and should be able to get decent ktm duke with proceeds. Was lookin at Large picture off 916 in my den (back bedroom Ha) and it Still looks Gorgeous and when on the move Great to ride, Ha.
