Some of you may recall I fitted a new dash a while back. Well, another bane of the V11 I wanted to resolve was the mirrors. The original mirrors don't favour removal at the collet well and I don't like the ideal of removal at the handlebar clamp. Having had one of the collets disintegrate on me, I have set about looking for alternatives. Having the new dash which is quite angular, I decided to try and mimic this in the mirrors and have something functional too with out breaking the bank. A bit of searching around and I opted to give some Griso mirrors a try from Gutsibits. Fitted now, they perform well at all speeds, give splendid review vision and were cheaper than the V11 ones and appear to be a better design. If you are going to be doing a lot of commuting/filtering (which I am not), perhaps a tad wide, but otherwise a good choice me thinks. Comments positive and negative welcome.
Fooling hell .... How many bikes you got lurkin in there ...... Nice mirrors tho. Need extenders on mine H CBR600. Love to see past me eberlows some day. Nice one Cab.... Expensive?
You asked for negative comments heres one. Dont you think its about time you cleaned your man cave ???
Haha, Had some help from Rumplestiskin on the mounts. The wiring is a case of following a drawing and having the confidence to cut into you loom. The trick bit is mounting the speed sensor to pick up the wheel movement. Once that's done the set-up is pretty straight forward. The TransLogic MiniDash is the choice of most of the Moto3 paddock I have been led to believe. They retail at £450.
stuff the mirrors!!!! even though they are just as if not more important than the dash…but the translogic just rocks!!!! looks superb
The bike is taxed until 30/9. At that point I am going to get that ali mount, which currently had that white plastic coating on, anodised red along with the rocker box covers. They will then match the foot rest hangers and Pazzo levers.
I was just going to post that those mirrors are identical to the ones on my TV4 with maybe a bit more of a shallow angle, but must say, that TransLogic looks the mutts nuts.:thumbsup:
I just leave my reg @ home now so I'm back racing round again I fix a bit of broken reg to my bike I've got away with once already Happy days
