Has anyone any experience with any of the bear grylls gear? I know it's just gerber stuff painted orange but I'm looking at treating myself to this http://www.bushwear.co.uk/Product/bear-grylls-ultimate-pro-fixed-blade-knife-fe To be completely honest it's only going to get used in the back garden making little fires in my pit and pretending I'm deep in a New Zealand forest but it's still a nice toy
Had one, its well worth the money, they have everything including the kitchen sink in them, the seem to hold their edge as well.
Adam i can recommend this knife, can be utilized in the back garden, you can also use it for other things. plumbing, electrical, gardening, motor mechanics, fishing, bottle opener, self defence, murder, suicide, and a door stop.
My mate works for rentikill Liverpool one and he get the birds flying into the shop he call me and I go when the shops shut to shoot also go to moss pits farm/ cronton /my Uncil owns frogham water sports and I go on his land aswell
Sounds good. Definately something I'm going to have a look doing. I might just throw the knife instead
I had a co2 pistol with the small canisters. I'm looking at going to the range regularly, my dad goes every week to rivington. Just got to convince the misses to let me spend £100 on a knife now
You won't go wrong with Gerber stuff mate, I haven't got any BG stuff, but I've had a filleting knife for fishing bought years ago, razor sharp you could shave with it.
There have been many mixed reviews about the bear grylls stuff. The cheap plastic pommel has been known to crack easily. I personally wouldnt touch it but itll be fine for little bits and bobs im sure. Id suggest normal gerber stuff instead of the BG range. If I was to recomend a knife based purely on value for money, id recommend anything by mora. Theyre cheep and dont look very flash and are more of a general purpose knife but as with most sweedish knives they hold their edge really well and are absolutely brilliant for general woodcraft. my mora companion had survived some pretty heavy use including batoning pretty big logs but unfortunately I lost it. Would happily buy again though.
To be honest I've read those reviews but looking at the new "PRO" knife the blade and the pummel is one piece of steel. I can only imagine this may cure the problem
