We usually go M62 and over, better roads but I'm happy to tag along with whoever. Going on the bike so will be tank bag and rucksack job

Just checked and it is the shortest route from here too going via the 62

 

a628 woodhead to barnsly then quik nip m1 to a64 str8 into scarborough
