Bought a while ago and used twice. Tax till March 2014, MOT till April 2014 This is a very rare bike, and being the later XJR has the Ohlins shocks and LCD dashboard. In good clean cosmetic order and only 54000kms on the clock, with loads of receipts for work done inc an expensive Ohlins refurb and comes with a genuine FI restrictor kit and certificate. Sadly somewhere between me running it out of fuel on its second run out and leaving it in the container for a month, i think it will need the carbs cleaning out because it starts and runs, but once warm tries to stall almost as if the choke circuit is stuck on or a blocked pilot jet. Front forks are a tad weepy too, so may need fork seals for next MOT Easy project for someone, but Yam IL4's are not my bag (bought on a bit of a whim frankly) and Honda V4's are my bread and butter. £995 take it away from my lockup in chester.
If I hadnt just bought my CBR I probably would have bought that off you. Dont want to swap it for a nighthawk do you? Lol lovely, milky milky
Well bear in mind its going to need a carb strip and clean and possibly fork seals, but it is in nice condition and did run well. Woody - c'mon fella, you know me and 400's lol, there are some pretty special and rare 400's out there. Sorry Jimmy, i have this, a RVF and possibly a KSR80 gag bike to sell on before i can move house, need to clear the decks a bit.
No worries im moving house too and cant really justify 2 bikes so prob best I just sell mine That looks really tidy though lovely, milky milky
Now with cleaned carbs and she runs like a goodun. cleaned and ready to rock and roll. And on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=151110706928
i took this out again at the weekend around the block and it sure is interesting to ride. comfy as hell, handles ok if a tad soft and built for comfort, but the motor feels like like the FZR and needs revving to oblivion. it pulls like the clappers and was fun. the more i clean this up, and the better it looks the more i like it. I have someone coming this weekend for a nose at it, as i have sold most of the NC30's and NC35's i had spare i may actually just keep this as a simple back to basics bike.
I work in chester... this is a nice bike... just got my A2 license so could have this restricted... £995 isnt too bad a price, however 54k miles is putting me off a little, nice bike but whats it got left in it :/
Done my insurance checks and thats pretty decent... this could be a bike i'd be willing to view before i go back to work on the 20th... let me sleep on it and work out some sums in my head get back to me
