Get them cylinder heads down Kev ....go for it. Do you like Mallory ? I find it a tad boring after a few sessions , just doesn't have the feel the same as Donny, oulton or Cadwell ...

I cut my track day teeth at Mallory although my first experience was at Oulton. For a first experience I think it is a great track. Short, there is not a huge number of corners to learn, so I could get in a rhythm and experiment with different riding/seating positions in a familiar arena. It does sell itself as "the friendly circuit" and I think they have hit the nail on the head there.

So yes, I do like Mallory for what it can give nervous new track day riders. A short track that is easy to get to know and good for building confidence. If anyone is interested in getting started, of Oulton, Cadwell, Donnington, Mallory and Snetterton, Mallory would be the one I recommend. I do like Mallory from the fast entry into Edwina to the exit of the bus stop on to the start finish straight. It is a short circuit so we can find yourself doing a lot of laps in a 20 min session which can get dull. Like it has for you, it has done it's time for me.
